Apparel & Accessories FBA Prep

Apparel has the clearest prep rule in FBA and still trips up more sellers than almost anything else, because the requirement depends on the size of the bag rather than the garment. We poly bag, label and fold clothing and accessories to Amazon’s standard at our Queens prep warehouse.

The poly bag rule, plainly

• A poly bag with an opening of 5 inches or more needs a suffocation warning printed on it, or on a label applied to it
• The bag should be transparent, so the unit and its barcode are visible
• The FNSKU must be scannable — either through the bag or applied to the outside
• The bag should be sized to the garment, not left loose and oversized
• Any original manufacturer barcode needs covering so only the FNSKU scans
