Amazon receives LTL and FTL freight only on pallets built to its own specification, and a pallet that misses that specification is refused at the dock or unloaded and re-stacked at your expense. We build pallets to the current Amazon standard at our Ozone Park, Queens warehouse: from loose or mixed cartons, from pallets that arrived built for a different purpose, or from inventory we have already labeled and bagged.

What an Amazon-compliant pallet looks like

• 40 × 48 inch GMA wooden pallet, four-way entry, grade B or better, heat-treated (ISPM-15) for anything that crossed a border
• 72 inches tall or less including the pallet for a single-stacked pallet; a double-stacked pallet may reach 100 inches only where Amazon allows it
• 1,500 lb or less including the pallet, with no carton over 50 lb unless it holds a single oversize unit
• Cartons stacked in columns with no overhang, corner boards where the stack needs them, and clear stretch wrap from base to top
• Four pallet labels, one centered on each side, printed from your shipment in Seller Central in Amazon’s current label format, plus a carton label on every box

Amazon revises these figures from time to time — the pallet label format changed in 2026 — so we build to the specification current at the time your shipment is created, and you can check the live rules in Seller Central before booking freight. How we build your pallets

• Cartons are counted, labeled, and grouped by shipment ID before anything is stacked, so one pallet never carries two shipments
• Stacks are built in columns to the height and weight limits, with heavier cartons at the base
• Corner boards, stretch wrap, and pallet labels are applied, and each finished pallet is photographed with its labels visible
• Pallet dimensions and weights are recorded and sent to you for the Seller Central freight quote or your own carrier booking

When palletizing pays for itself

Above roughly 150 to 200 cartons to a single fulfillment center, an LTL pallet is usually cheaper than parcel, and it changes the inbound placement math too: consolidated pallets give Amazon fewer, larger receipts to route. We can run the numbers alongside our placement fee guide, and once pallets are built, pallet forwarding books the truck. Smaller shipments still go out as cartons through carton forwarding.
