Most prep centers receive by the carton. We receive by the pallet: LTL and full-truckload deliveries from domestic suppliers, freight forwarders, and drayage from the Port of New York/New Jersey arrive at our Ozone Park, Queens dock, and every pallet is broken down, counted against your packing list, inspected for transit damage, and photographed before any prep work begins. Receiving is free, as it is on every shipment we take in.
What pallet receiving includes

- Inspection for crushed, wet, or opened cartons, with photos of anything that arrived damaged so a carrier claim has evidence

Why receive pallets in New York City
Freight landing at the Port of New York/New Jersey or JFK can be at our dock the same day it clears, instead of riding cross-country to a Midwest or West Coast prep center first. For sellers importing through the East Coast, that removes several days — and a long inland leg — from the path between supplier and Amazon fulfillment center. Once received, inventory moves into pallet prep, FNSKU labeling, or storage on your instructions.
Sending pallets to us
Send us the carrier, expected delivery date, pallet count, and packing list before the truck is dispatched. We confirm the receiving window in writing, and you get counts, inspection notes, and photos within one business day of the pallets landing. If you are importing, we can be named as the delivery address on your customs and drayage paperwork — ask us for the exact address format.
Pricing
Pallet receiving, counts, inspection, and two weeks of storage are free on every shipment. Prep and forwarding are on the pricing page; floor-loaded containers are quoted per container.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge to receive pallets?
No. Receiving, counting, inspection, and damage photos are free on every inbound shipment, palletized or not, and two weeks of storage are included before any storage charge applies.
Can you unload a floor-loaded container?
Ask us with the container size and carton count. Floor-loaded containers take dock time and labor that palletized freight does not, so they are quoted per container rather than at the standard receiving terms.
Do you need a delivery appointment for LTL freight?
Yes. Send the carrier name, PRO number, and expected date before dispatch and we confirm a receiving window in writing. Unannounced LTL deliveries can be refused by the carrier if the dock is occupied.
